Yellow Jigsaw project expands for Summer 2023 with new staff, partnerships and activities on offer

We’re excited to announce that our Media Cubs project is expanding once again this Summer.
Our ‘pop-up TV studio and newsroom’ workshops will be transforming even more young people into mini reporters and movie makers, thanks to new crew members joining the Media Cubs team, and new partnerships secured around the region.
School holidays never looked better as hundreds of kids aged 7-16 from Manchester, Salford, Wigan, Trafford, Stockport and Rochdale will be able to get stuck into a range of creative and digital challenges.
The Media Cubs crew will be visiting various summer camps and clubs across the region linking in with sports community clubs such as Sale Sharks, Stockport Life Leisure, Salford Life Centre, Lancashire Cricket Club, Manchester City Council, Wigan Council, and many more.
Young people will be able to try their hand at presenting, news reporting, comic creating and stop-motion making, focusing on their own interests and passions along the way.
Kirsty Day, co-founder of Yellow Jigsaw and Media Cubs, said: “We’ve already worked with thousands of children across the region and are so excited that we get to meet even more! We’re proud to offer a unique provision for young people to develop exciting and essential media skills and build confidence.
“There will be something for every child to enjoy this Summer!
“And with more new crew as part of the team – we are delighted to be working in another new borough – Rochdale here we come!”
