Women take over Reform Radio: #Thatswhatshesaid

If you haven’t already tuned in to Reform Radio, where have you been? RR are more than just great to listen to; they’re great for society, too; as a not-for-profit company that delivers employment and creative workshops and traineeships to young people. RR will be playing 24 hours of the best female artists, as well as featuring podcasts of women from all walks of life.

To celebrate International Women’s Day 2016, Tuesday 8 March, we are showcasing a range of short films from a recently uncovered and newly-digitised collection of films by female amateur filmmakers at 10.45, 11.30 and 12.15.  These will be followed by Suffragette (2015) at 6.30pm in The Sanctuary at Lancaster library.

Art events at Oxheys Mill Studios

Celebrate #IWD at Oxheys Mill Studios in Preston for a series of day long activities, including an exhibition of contemporary art, curated by International artist Lubaina Himid MBE , a Talk & Tour linking other contemporary art venues in the city, to include the Making Histories Visible project at the University of central Lancashire, the Birley studios and the Harris Museum & Gallery, and a Private View party 6-8pm.
