Got your new satchel and pen set? Summer is over and it is time to get back to business with a few lessons at Blackpool Expo.

It is important in business to always learn new skills and top tips to stay ahead of your competitors.

So on Friday, September 25, Blackpool Expo, is taking you back to school by offering a day of free seminars. A great way to start to the Autumn term!

First up on the timetable:

9.30 am there will be a Media Masterclass with Yellow Jigsaw CIC

Delivered by a qualified and experienced journalist and a seasoned broadcast interviewee, you will leave this masterclass armed with the tools and key messages you need to get your business seen and heard across print and broadcast media.

Unsure what makes a good press release? Anxious at the thought of a TV or radio interview? This practical workshop will help you to face an interviewer with confidence as a polished media spokesperson, and identify the stories that will get your company noticed by the press.


Get ready for your double IT lesson:

10.15 am there will be a session on how to make your emails work for you with Attain

This workshop covers all aspects of email marketing. From gathering your contacts to improving the quality and conversions of future marketing and everything in between. It got full marks with a rating of 5* at the Blackpool Expo in February.

11.00 am there is a class on digital marketing clarity – 5 Essentials by XP Web Services

Is Google really punishing non-mobile friendly sites? Is new, original content really the way forward? What are Google’s latest updates, and how do they affect your website?

If a year of mixed messages have left you in a spin, Kevin Donnelly, SEO specialist, will give you – and your online marketing – clarity.


Next up business biology

11.45 am it’s Who’s Knickers are you wearing? By Lucrative Marketing

In this interactive, fun and informative session Anne will show you how to grow your business  and cut your marketing spend by turning your customers from a one night stand into a long lasting loving relationship, through a simple pair of knickers.

You will also get a workbook to make notes on the topics covered, so you can formulate a plan to grow your business, straight away.


A special guest lecturer will be leading the class

12.30 pm – Neil Simpson

Following a 15 year career in professional dance, film and unprofessional comedy, Neil retired from performing in 2001 and has since spent more than a decade bringing sensational innovation to businesses helping them to grow by turning their ideas into money.


Now for that all important relationship and personal development

1.15pm there will be an inspiring workshop on how to protect your recruitment investment with employee attachment – by Phillip Paramore

So get your homework diaries out and mark a visit to Blackpool Expo. It doesn’t take a maths teacher to tell you that this FREE event is worth 100 per cent attendance and the results will be gold stars all round.

Launch Events North West will be bringing Blackpool Expo to The Village, Heron’s Reach, between 8.30am and 3pm on Friday, September 25.

Up to 80 businesses will be exhibiting from Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre Economic Development Company and the Intellectual Property Office to Genting Casino and Lancashire Wine School.

The event, which is free to visitors, already has over 80 people registered to attend and it is hoped more than 500 people will take the opportunity to network with other businesses in Lancashire.
