My Generation reporters amplify women’s voices on International Day of Older Persons

The Talking About My Generation team of reporters – the first news team of its kind in the UK – were delighted to work with Bolton Council to create a video celebrating the voices and contributions of older women.

The video was displayed on a mobile media van that toured the borough during the week of International Day of Older Persons (1st October).

It is great to see an organisation put the voices of the people they serve front and centre of their communications work – thank you to Bolton Council for believing in the power of community media!

Leesa Hellings-Lamb, public health specialist at Bolton Council, had to say about working with My Generation reporters:

“We worked with the My Generation team to create a campaign video for International Day of Older Persons. With a tight timeframe, the team came up with a creative and engaging film concept that got all of our key messages across and put older people at the forefront. It is absolutely brilliant, thank you!”
