We are so thrilled about our latest PR and marketing project – which is not only in the education sector BUT also a social enterprise – which are two significant passions of our YJ team.
The project sees us come together with an alternative education provider in Reddish – Make A Pathway (MAP) – led by the inspirational Louise Waddington to create an online presence that reflects the organisation’s position as a pioneering youth-led alternative to mainstream education.
Louise said: “We are delighted to be working with Yellow Jigsaw to increase the profile of MAP and the vital work that we do in Greater Manchester and Derbyshire to support young people.”
MAP’s nurturing approach creates tailored solutions to support the young people they work with to overcome the challenges they face: from school exclusion, learning differences, difficult home lives, health needs or lack of access to appropriate support.
The team want to increase their profile to build new relationships with schools, charities and statutory services to support more young people who require an alternative approach to fulfilling their potential.
Yellow Jigsaw media director, Kirsty Day, said: “Working with MAP is an exciting project for us and on a subject matter that we really are passionate about.
“Like Louise and the MAP team – we believe education is not just about exam results or league tables, it is supporting the overall wellbeing of a young person in the right environment for them – encouraging them to find their passions in life and helping them to thrive and believing they can have aspirations and succeed in them.
“It has been a privilege to meet the young people at MAP and the staff team for the start of our partnership. They are all inspirational. And we can’t wait to help them get further recognition and support for the work that they do so well.”
