We were delighted to partner with the HSHVCA, who deliver organisational support to St Helens and Halton-based charities and not for profit groups, to deliver two communications workshops to help good causes tell their stories.

Halton and St Helens Voluntary and Community Action hosted Grace to deliver the half day workshops, inviting both their members and organisations from the sector to sharpen their communication skills.

Attendees refined their Facebook and Twitter social media skills at the “Mastering Social Media Skills” interactive session and developed their press release writing skills and understanding of how to write to engage different audiences – from commissioners to the public – in the “Telling Your Social Story” session.

Grace said: “Our approach to delivering workshops is always based on peer discussions, exercises and lots of templates and tools that attendees can take home to put their learning into action, so we’re pleased this approach has been met with such positive feedback.”

Here is what some of the attendees said:

“Absolutely brilliant session today – have come home with a spring in my step. Look out, world!”

“Really enjoyed the course today. At last a social media event that I got a lot from. Can’t wait for the next one.”

“Fantastic presentation from Grace. Answered some of my burning questions. Can I have her on tap please?”

We’re now busy planning future sessions having been invited back to deliver advanced social media and storytelling workshops.
